Under the Chestnut Tree: group coaching programmes to help rediscover yourself

Under the Chestnut Tree: a calming winter revival

A four‑week group coaching experience to help you reconnect with yourself, regain focus and energy, and step into the winter season with calm confidence.

As I write, summer is drawing to a close, the days are becoming mercifully cooler and it feels as if the season is slipping into its usual end of year rush. The diary is filling up with festive plans, end‑of‑year deadlines, school events, office parties, family gatherings and—if you’re anything like me—a creeping sense that December may already be running away with itself. I adore the sparkle and celebration, but I also know how easily the pace can tip from joyful to overwhelming.

And that’s why I always make a conscious effort to really breathe in the quiet magic of late autumn and winter, my favourite time of the year. In Greenwich Park, the air sharpens, the chestnut trees stand tall and bare, and the early morning light over the Observatory often has an almost luminous quality. A slow walk through the fallen leaves, noticing the crunch underfoot of the first frosts, becomes one of life’s simplest and most restorative pleasures.

With this in mind, I’m delighted to invite you to Under the Chestnut Tree: a calming winter revival. This small group coaching experience is designed to help you reconnect with yourself before the festive rush, to breathe deeply, to steady your energy, and to give yourself permission to focus on YOU as the year draws to a close.

A calm space. A supportive group. A moment to pause before the season begins.

Join me for a nourishing reset beneath the winter branches.

Over four weeks, we'll create space to:

Reflect on where you are now

Recognise the beliefs and habits that are holding you back

Let go of what's no longer serving you

Reconnect with what matters most

Build clarity, confidence and momentum for the months ahead

This isn’t about dramatic resolutions or becoming a new version of yourself. It’s about finding a peaceful space to reconnect with what matters. Whether you’re in the midst of change, feeling a little adrift, or simply longing for a pocket of quiet before the festive onslaught, you’ll be joining a group of like‑minded women seeking the same thing— a gentle pause before the season gathers pace.

Greenwich Park Life Coaching

Why ‘Greenwich Park
Life Coaching’?

Because it does what it says on the tin!

I’ve been fortunate to live just metres from Greenwich Park in south‑east London for more than 25 years, and I never tire of the view. I can see the Royal Observatory and Flamsteed House glowing beautifully at night from my bathroom window - a sight that still fills me with joy and gratitude. And every time I step into the park, only moments from my front door, I’m reminded how lucky I am to have such beauty on my doorstep.

So, when I set up my coaching practice, it felt only right that its name reflected that deep connection. For clients who live locally, I often integrate coaching walks in the park and surrounding neighbourhood into the programme, creating space for reflection, fresh perspectives and meaningful conversation, inspired by nature and Greenwich's rich heritage.

One-to-one coaching

I work with women in midlife who want to change direction in their lives or careers (or both) but haven’t yet found the courage to make the leap.

Many of the women I work with appear highly successful, confident and capable on the outside but feel uncertain, bored or frustrated on the inside, and feel there must be something MORE. My focus is on helping them build confidence, clarity and self‑trust, helping them to find their courage and to choose a life of joy and fulfilment.

So if you are:

  • stuck in a rut at work, or…

  • always chasing after the next promotion (but you’re not quite sure why), or…

  • have been talking about retiring for years, or…

  • are not clear what your future looks like (but know that this is not it), or…

  • suffer from incurable ‘Good Girl’ syndrome, or…

  • have always wanted to start your own business, or…

  • ALL of the above (like me a few years back)…

… then I HEAR YOU, because I’ve been there!

I will work with you to develop confidence and clarity in following the path you truly desire. We will work together on a practical and action-oriented plan, using different tools and techniques to find your courage and to set a new course. We will delve into your personal values, identify what brings you joy and fulfilment and will break down the barriers, real or imagined, to you changing direction and creating the life you deserve.

Coaching sessions can be held virtually, or - for those in the Greenwich area - in person. I draw on the natural beauty of our environment to inspire our conversations, building ‘Walk and Talk’ sessions into each block, where that works for you.

So if you’re feeling stuck, fed up with doing what others expect of you (*spoiler alert, maybe they don’t!) and you’re ready to prioritise YOU, let’s talk.

About me

My approach is rooted in my own personal experiences as well as professional insight.

I was adopted at birth, lost my father in childhood, was widowed at a young age, and later experienced the loss of my mother after many years of caregiving. I’ve known grief, responsibility, and reinvention first-hand. Alongside this, I built a successful 40-year career, predominantly in large blue-chip corporates, where I was recognised as a trusted advisor, and an authentic, results-driven leader.

I understand what it’s like to keep functioning while carrying a lot, but also how important it is to prioritise YOU, rather than simply fulfilling everyone else’s expectations of the person you should be. I bring structure, practicality, and perspective into coaching conversations, helping clients to think clearly, to make sense of what’s happening for them, and to move forward in a way that feels grounded and real.

Our coaching relationship will focus on setting you up for success. We will develop an approach and schedule that fits into your lifestyle, but I’ll expect you to commit to the process, to show up and to do the work. In return, I will offer unconditional support and guidance, will be your greatest ally and will be fully invested in a successful outcome, whatever that looks like for you.

Don't just take my word for it.

Here's what my clients have to say...

I was struggling with my confidence and the thought of returning to work felt overwhelming. Lynne’s coaching has been a game‑changer — helping me build a positive mindset, knowing I can do a good job and feeling ready to walk back through those doors. From the start, I’ve felt comfortable, understood and listened to. Lynne challenged my thinking, helped me recognise my inner ‘saboteurs’ and reminded me to celebrate small wins. Each week, practical tools, achievable steps and thoughtful summaries helped me move forward. Lynne has been incredibly encouraging throughout, helping me see what is possible and believe in myself again. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Lynne is an experienced and confident coach who supported me through a challenging transition phase in my life and career. Unlike others who spend paid sessions just gathering background, the prep work here gets you actively engaged and reflecting before you even begin. Combining that level of care and value with coaching while walking in nature made the entire experience particularly stimulating and impactful.

Monika D. Managing Director, Financial Services, London

Lynne is an absolute powerhouse of a coach! She provides weekly accountability from a kind and thoughtful place. You can tell she has always excelled at what she does and it’s quite contagious with her encouragement and smart ways to bring out your best self with confidence and ambition. I always feel in a safe place to work through any aspect of my life that needs attention and often unexpected results arise. Couldn’t recommend her more!

I hesitated for a long time before trying life coaching, convinced it “wasn’t for me”. But after a very tearful first session, something shifted — I realised it might actually be exactly what I needed. And I didn’t cry again after that. Talking openly about my feelings and mental health was a breakthrough. I’d spent years relying on the ostrich approach, which, as it turns out, isn’t very effective. But with Lynne’s unconditional support and by making a few surprisingly simple changes, I began to feel better. I tried new things. I stopped procrastinating. Most importantly, I started feeling more positive about myself. I discovered I actually like who I am.

If you’re thinking about taking the plunge — don’t think. Just do it. Procrastinating is overrated. I should know; I perfected it. Not anymore though. I’m too busy enjoying my own fabulousness.

Sarah M. Business Owner, Cheshire

I have really enjoyed my coaching journey with Lynne. I came away feeling confident, focused and determined after each session. I am so grateful to Lynne for being my cheerleader, supporting me as I developed a clear action plan and helping me find clarity on my future direction – thank you so much!
